LOUIS VUITTON SOFT TRUNK BAG BLACK/ORANGE

The Louis Vuitton Soft Trunk in black is one of the signature pieces from Virgil Abloh's debut Spring/Summer 2019 collection for the house, and it turns Louis Vuitton's trunk-making heritage into a compact, wearable bag. Despite the "Soft" in the name, it is a boxy, structured trunk shape with sharp corners, in black, and the flash of colour that marks it out as an Abloh piece comes from the hardware: bright matte orange resin chain accents and side rings, set against otherwise all-black hardware, the street-meets-luxury contrast that defined his first collection.

It closes with a double zip and opens to a black fabric interior with open pockets, sized for a phone, cardholder and the evening essentials. It carries on an adjustable strap that combines leather with a black chain finished in the same orange resin, so it can be worn cross-body or, off the strap, held as a clutch.
