LOUIS VUITTON MONOGRAM TUFFETAGE TRIANGLE MESSENGER BLACK

The Triangle Messenger took the Monogram somewhere Louis Vuitton had not gone before. Reference M45070, from the Spring Summer 2020 men's collection, drops the familiar rectangular messenger shape for a sharp triangular body that sits flat against the chest when worn long.

The body is Monogram coated canvas layered with a tufted suede monogram overlay, which is what tuffetage refers to. The effect is textural rather than printed, with the pattern raised against the canvas so it catches light as the bag moves. Hardware is matte black throughout, and the leather shoulder strap is both adjustable and detachable.

At roughly 22cm across the base it carries a phone, cardholder, keys and folded sunglasses without bulk. A top zip opens to a black textile interior with a single patch pocket, and a short top handle gives a second way to carry it. One of the more wearable pieces in the crossbody and men's leather goods range.
