The Louis Vuitton Vertical Soft Trunk in Monogram Tuffetage is a piece from Virgil Abloh's Fall 2020 collection, and the yellow is the whole story. Rather than printing or dyeing, Louis Vuitton used traditional tufting: contrasting yellow textile thread is stitched over the brown Monogram canvas so the pattern stands up off the surface in three dimensions, with a soft, velvet-smooth feel.
