Louis Vuitton Handle Soft Trunk Saffron Yellow

The Louis Vuitton Handle Soft Trunk in Saffron Yellow is the bright version of Virgil Abloh's modern take on the Louis Vuitton trunk. Rather than coated canvas, it is made from Taurillon leather with the Monogram embossed into the surface, here in a warm saffron yellow with silver-tone hardware. It first appeared in the LV x NBA capsule in 2021 and became a permanent piece from the Spring-Summer 2022 collection.

It is a soft trunk rather than a rigid one, so the boxy shape comes from riveted metal corners and leather reinforcement strips rather than a hard shell, which keeps it light while still holding its form. There is a leather top handle for carrying it briefcase-style and a removable shoulder strap for cross-body wear, and it opens wide for easy access to phones, sunglasses, and other essentials.
