Hermès R.M.S Cabin Suitcase Odyssey Multicolor

The Hermès R.M.S. cabin suitcase is the brand's take on rolling luggage, and this is the Odyssey version, printed with a space scene of ships drifting through a starry cosmos. R.M.S. stands for Rolling Mobility Suitcase, which also reads as a phonetic play on "Hermès," and the line grew out of the brand's skateboard project, which is where the wheels come from. The body is printed H canvas trimmed with Taurillon Regate leather, with the reinforced leather corners Hermès uses on its traditional trunks.

It is built around a set of patents: a rotating telescopic handle that adjusts to height, a curvilinear zip that opens the case flat across two sides, four ultra-mobile wheels, and a slim TSA-approved lock. The shell is a semi-hard recyclable material that keeps it to around 4kg, and the interior, about 32 litres, has one open side and one zipped side under a lining printed with the H en Biais motif. At roughly 57 by 35 by 20 cm, it is sized to meet most airlines' cabin limits.
