Franck Muller Double Mystery, Ref. DM 39 D 2R CD RU WG - N333

Description
The Franck Muller Double Mystery, reference DM 39 D 2R CD RU WG, hides its own mechanism in plain sight. There are no conventional hands: the time is indicated by two triangular markers set on rotating discs, which appear to drift across the dial with nothing visibly driving them. Franck Muller took the idea from the mystery clocks of the 19th century, and it remains one of the most theatrical things the brand does.
This reference is cased in 18k white gold in the Cintrée Curvex shape, Franck Muller's signature curved tonneau, at 39mm, and it is set with two rows of stones, which is what the 2R in the reference denotes. Against the white gold and the diamond setting, the floating markers become the focal point, so the watch reads as jewellery first and timepiece second. It runs an automatic movement and sits on a rubber strap.
A double-row Double Mystery is a genuine statement piece and produced in small numbers. At Konesseur, every Franck Muller is authenticated and inspected in Dubai before listing, and the UAE's 5% VAT is a meaningful advantage at this level.
