The Cartier Ballon Bleu Chronograph 44mm, reference W6920002, is the largest and most assertive version of a watch that is usually about softness. The Ballon Bleu takes its name from its shape, a rounded, pebble-like case with an arc of steel sweeping across the side to shelter the crown, and at 44mm that curve becomes genuinely sculptural on the wrist.
