Bovet Amadeo Fleurier Ref. NTS0054

The Bovet Fleurier 19Thirty is Pascal Raffy's idea of an everyday Bovet, and it wears its history openly. Introduced in 2015 and drawn from a Bovet pocket watch of the 1930s, it keeps the crown and bow at 12 o'clock rather than at 3, which is why it reads more like a pocket watch worn on the wrist than a conventional dress watch.

This is the turquoise guilloché edition, limited to 60 pieces. The dial is worked with guilloché, an ornamental engine-turning technique used in watchmaking since the 18th century, then lacquered in turquoise across the sub-dials so the pattern shifts and deepens as the light moves. Hours and minutes sit in the upper sub-dial with white Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds below with Arabic numerals, and a power reserve indicator at 3 o'clock, with blackened Côtes de Genève finishing the bridges behind.

The case is polished stainless steel, 42mm across and 9.05mm thick, with sapphire cabochons set into the crown and the strap bolts, sapphire crystal front and back, and 30 metres of water resistance. It is hand-wound, and worn on a full-skin alligator strap with turquoise stitching and a steel pin buckle. Bovet produces only a few thousand watches a year across its entire range, which makes a 60-piece edition genuinely scarce.
